The Gerontological Nursing Review Course

Approved for 7.5 Contact Hours

The review Course offers a summary of current key clinical information and issues central to caring for the highly specialized needs of older adults. It also reviews the current financial, social, political, and cultural issues that affect nursing care for the elderly. This course reflects the current test content outline of the ANCC Gerontological Nurse Certification Examination, and is useful in helping nurses prepare to sit for the ANCC Gerontological Nurse Certification Examination

  • Demographics of aging
  • Normal age related changes
  • Health promotion
  • Theories of aging
  • Major health problems of older adults
  • Geriatric syndromes
  • Care settings for older adults
  • Models of care for older adults
  • Professional issues related to care of older adults in all care settings

This event is only open and free for all participants registered to attend the 13th Annual Conference on Thursday, April 22 and Friday, April 23 (RSVP Required).
