ANNUAL NICHE CONFERENCE EXPLORES INTERDISCIPLINARY PATHS TO IMPROVED GERIATRIC CARE
More than 400 nurses and other health professionals from the U.S. and Canada attended the thirteenth annual conference of NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders), held April 21 to 23 in Baltimore, Maryland. The theme of the conference was “Collaborate! Interdisciplinary Paths to Improved Geriatric Care.”
Attendance Up
Despite the current economic conditions, conference attendance exceeded expectations by 31%, reflecting an increased awareness of the need to improve the outcomes and experience of hospitalization for older adults. Read more.
13th Annual NICHE Conference Poster Sessions
Excellence was on display at the poster session event at the 13th Annual Conference in Baltimore this year. Over the course of the two-day session, twenty-seven posters were displayed representing an array of innovation and research by NICHE hospitals.
